the mission post

A wise man at church once told me that I should view my future not in terms of “what should I do?”, but more in terms of “how many people can I reach?” He counselled that the wilderness season I had experienced after a burnout instilled human skills that would multiply my hitherto professional skills, citing Jesus' parable of the talents.

Some days later, this gentleman underscored his counsel with the call in Matthew 9:37 (ESV) “the harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few” and suggested this be the compass for my life.

Writing is the way I respond to that Gospel call. Whether by The Mission Post Blog or my work in Christian media through journalism, writing is how I communicate my lived experience of walking with God, sharing what he has whispered in the secret place, so that it might echo into the public space.
